The surgery is operating a triage system (from 6th November - both Practices).
All requests for a Doctor's appointments are to be made by telephone, only nurse appointments are allowed to be booked at the reception desk. We cannot accept walk in appointments, if you visit the surgery to book an appointment you must be prepared to leave a telephone number for the clinician to ring you back.
Triaged appointments give patients the opportunity to discuss their ailments sometimes avoiding the need to visit the Surgery. Any appointments resulting from this triage will be a mix of same day or advanced appointments.
Please ring between 8:30 - 11:00 am, and 13:30 - 15:00 pm. Telephone lines are extremely busy and our receptionists endeavour to answer your call as soon as possible. To enable safe management of patients the number of triage slots available each day are limited - triage times will be closed early if maximum capacity is reached. Calls made outside of these times will be for emergencies only.
Please provide a brief description of your medical problem/query to the receptionist who picks up your call.
Requests for house calls remain unchanged, and should be made before 11:00 am.

If you feel you need to see a doctor as a matter of urgency and cannot wait for the next triage session, you will need to discuss your concerns with the on-call Duty Doctor by phone - these call backs are for urgent concerns which cannot wait until the following day.
Please make sure that you are available when the GP rings you. If you are ringing on behalf of a sick patient, please ensure where possible you are with them.
JOJ Powell & Partners will continue to offer some routine appointments which can be booked in advance, alternatively you should ring the surgery on the day that you need to be seen. When you see a GP, if they want you to be seen further in a specified timeframe they may book you a follow up appointment to see them.
D Bensusan & Partners will only offer GP follow up appointments and will have a limited amount of pre-bookable slots available up to five days ahead, alternatively you should ring the surgery on the day that you need to be seen.
Both Practices will offer routine telephone consultations that can be booked in advance, for example for routine medication reviews. You may also be instructed by letter to contact the surgery to book a routine telephone consultation.
Some appointments, e.g. medicals or chronic condition reviews may take longer than the 10 minutes usually allocated for a routine appointment. If you think that your appointment might need extra time please tell a member of the team at the time of booking.
We aim to offer the most suitable appointment, and you will be asked for the reason for an appointment by the Receptionist simply to establish the best possible appointment for your problem. There will be times where we will not be able to offer you a Doctor of choice.
If you are unable to keep an appointment then please cancel it. We have a huge demand for our appointments and we ask you to please inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend, so that your appointment can be given to someone who needs it.
